It’s been a long time since I’ve posted, and I have good reasons. As my last post said, I recently went to Las Vegas with Intothedarkroom to attend the WPPI convention, but I also went there as a company trip to see and explore Las Vegas as well as hanging out with the company.

One of the highlights of the trip was attending a Cirque du Soleil show at the MGM Hotel with my employer’s family, and it turned out to be an inspirational show and time I couldn’t forget.

Once again, I’m missing another one of my Monday’s inspirational post. Time really flies a lot when you’re doing work or browsing around yourself. For this inspirational post, I want to share some sites that I really enjoy looking at for inspiring art and graphics.

They’re not blogs, and they’re definitely not just a gallery of pictures. These sites are actual communities or a group of artists put together that strive to push forward the limits of art and graphics and show the art community their talent.

For this week’s inspiration, I decided to share something different than a video. Galleries have been making a big impact on the internet displaying lists of artworks, logos, business cards, and more. Just like a museum, these galleries contain lots of works that are inspiring and give lots of examples of different type of styles that you can reference from.

So what’s the one thing you’re good in? Graphic Design? Asset Modeling? HTML/CSS? Scripting in a certain program? What do they all have in common? They are too specific. Now, there’s nothing wrong with that. Certainly, you can find a really good job in that field if you looked really hard, however, you’re at a disadvantage already. How can you get the advantage?

It’s time to become a hybrid.
