There’s always a part in a designer’s life where they come to the sense that a new redesign is in store for them. What does it take to redesign? Are you simply going to code a new site, replace graphics, or add new functions or features? Recently I’ve seen a lot of “redesign” and to me it’s probably the easiest thing to do than designing from scratch.

Custom shapes has always been a popular trend in graphic design, especially when it comes to using them in Photoshop. I’m going to show you today how to make some abstract custom shapes and save them so that you can use in your future designs.
One of the best parts I like about making a piece in Photoshop is not necessarily the outcome but the process it takes to get to it. I learn a lot when I can visualize somebody’s progress in creating a graphic. I always enjoy seeing work in progress because it shows you that the skills to make that piece aren’t complicated at all and art is really all about visualizing and experimenting.
Walk in the Park was probably one of my first pieces that I experimented fully with the use of stock photos and using the mask tool in Photoshop. I never knew you can blend in photos in that way so that they look seemless and natural (to an extent). Here’s my WIP on Walk in the Park (and also some notes on what I did).
A day late, but I want to wish all my viewers a Happy Lunar New Years, and also a Happy Valentine’s Day. I hope everyone had a good time, and were able to spend the time with their loved ones. I got my special someone some candy, a card, and a graphic artwork that I created.

For this week’s inspiration, I decided to share something different than a video. Galleries have been making a big impact on the internet displaying lists of artworks, logos, business cards, and more. Just like a museum, these galleries contain lots of works that are inspiring and give lots of examples of different type of styles that you can reference from.
