Collins College Photoshop + Tutorial Contest

Want to win a 23″ monitor? As an alumni of Collins College, I’ve decided to hold a contest for the student body, the alumni and even the faculty of Collins College. There are two contests, one being a Photoshop design contest and the other being a Tutorial Write-up contest. The rules are simple, and I’ll be explaining them with this post.

Photoshop Design Contest – Rules

OVERVIEW & TERMS

This contest requires contestants to submit three (3) designs/art pieces to be pitted against other students’ works. The works will be judged on two premises:

1. Peer Voting – The votes will take place on Creative-Le Designs (http://creative-le.com) and from there, students, peers, and other people are allowed to vote for their favorite artwork so make sure you get your family and friends to vote on the site.

2. Judge Voting – To make things fair, a panel of judges will be chosen to also give their input on the designs. They will judge according to design, composition, lighting, etc…

Collins College Design Contest

The final round will be voted at the 3View Portfolio Show on May 7th, 2010 at Collins College. Everyone will be welcomed to vote, and the prize ceremony will be given to the winner.

Submission Guidelines – How to Enter

Only the current student body and recent alumni of 2010 are allowed to join this contest. The contestant must submit three (3) works along with the following information to the following email address.

The works must be in JPG, PNG, or PDF Format. The piece may be in 72 DPI or 300 DPI. There is no theme to follow, just 3 of your BEST works. Even though it says Photoshop, works from Illustrator and 2D graphic editing programs are allowed.

Collins College Design Contest

I prefer graphic design works opposed to drawings and art, but I’m not going to limit you, so if you can draw, perhaps do more than just drawing a character and coloring it. Make a fitting background, and make it a finished piece.
