So I think I’m at the point of my life where I’m busy. Projects left and right being thrown at me, and I’m at the point where I have to turn down people just so I can do things that I want to do. So let’s see how my life is right now….
Dentist Site – I have to do this dentist site, and it’s in flash, and it’s just horrible….I hate flash, I never liked doing it…especially website wise. I don’t mind doing it, but you won’t be on my good side if you’re making me do it. Not to mention, the dentist wants to do so many gallery changes, and everything…just annoying. I hope it gets done soon and good riddance.
Some Reskin of an old Site – So I need to reskin a site for another similar site. Done, gave a mockup, and ready to build. However, I don’t know where to build it, so that’s a fail. I’ll need to contact for more information….
Pamphlet – So I have to do a pamphlet….yeah, a 15+ page pamphlet detailing about a company’s product. Now, I was fine with it until I actually started doing it. So many things went wrong, and I just looked at the amount of work, and compared to another pamphlet that I had to mimic, and then I was like….”Really?….I don’t feel like doing it anymore“. I think this project has fully put me off the train for Print Design. Rather, I don’t want to do books/pamphlets/dictionaries. Posters, Flyers, Brochure (maybe), Business Card….I’m fine with that. But anything more than one page, forget it. I guess I’m still offering to do it, but I’d rather not….
Business Cards – I need to do one for myself and my future company. Hmm….hey, I actually got it done while writing this post. I went to different drafts, and as I said before, I finally found my niche in the design and what I want to do, so minimalism is my main focus with my designs and style.

So that’s done…I just need to print, and see how it goes. Don’t mind the border, it’s there so it doesn’t blend in with the blog.
Creative-Le Studio Site – Alright, I just put this up here…I didn’t plan on making one, but it turns out I should make one. It’ll be a simple one page similar to my portfolio, and probably simpler using just white, and typography. I’ll probably work on it whenever other projects are done.
Euro Trip Blog/Adventures – So I have this idea that I’m working with a friend of mine, and it’s just a blog about his adventures and personal life when he goes to Europe. It’s just a blog, but I need to make it unique and interesting, so that in the long run it’ll be a place to go if you want to follow along his crazy route. This is probably the next on the list. I just need a design, and I’ll probably put someone to work on the development.
Portfolio Site – As you probably already read….it’s done. Kudos to me….finally.
Stock Photo Site – I’m collaborating with a college teacher of mine on a stock photo site that we thought would be great for the school and also other people. I got a mockup for it, and it’s ready for production. Only bad thing is, I almost have no clue what I’m doing….but it’s one of those projects I’m excited to do because it’ll teach me a lot about wordpress, PHP, and probably e-commerce. So I’m looking forward to finding some time to start it.
Getting into Themeforest – Probably my favorite one that I really want to start on. I’m working with Vtension on creating a wordpress theme to be able to be good enough to submit to Themeforest. Once submitted, I believe I can call myself a decent WordPress Developer. Themeforest has high standards in terms of design, functionality, coding, and user experience. I’m currently waiting for a design, but at the same time, I’m working on a design myself that I might want to try to enter, but my design isn’t that…great.
Finishing Pluto Theme Framework – So I released two themes so far that are publicly available. Athena and Ares. It’s another WordPress Framework, but a bit more styled where you can use it out of the box. Athena was a simple framework, and then Ares took that framework and added Theme Options capabilities. Pluto will be the end all of the frameworks and technically almost be a site/blog itself and in addition, it’ll be user and developer friendly so people can make wordpress blogs/sites easier. I’m basically creating a theme that can be a good learning curve for future learners.

Open Workshops at Collins College – Myself and a fellow alumni are starting an open workshop every Saturday that’s open to students, faculty, staff, and other alumni. The main basis of it is to gather people around on a Saturday afternoon and discuss about the technology and knowledge that’s out in the industry. We’ll offer help, tutorials, discussions, insights, and maybe even work on a project. The times and dates are as follows:

Feel free to come, learn, show, ask, inquire, work etc.. It’s open for anything.
Brought to you by Creative-Le and the Alumni Assosciation.
So it’s concluded that this is a lot of work. However, my interest in doing all of them is slightly going down and down. More so, I’m at the point where I just want to do web design for a team rather than being a solo. And also, if I had to go solo, I’d rather code or design something for people that I want to do it with/for. I want to dedicate more time to contributing to the community, and also doing personal things for personal sakes. Sure, I need to work for other people to get money, but that’s why I’d rather have a team to work with. They help you finish these long tasks and also you have people to discuss with on a subject you like.
I don’t know….I think I should start on that Pluto Framework. Once that’s done, I can use it to make my future themes easier. And thanks for listening to my rant of my life, I wanted to write down a list of things I wanted to do, but at the same time go off on them to reassure my thinking process. Next post….a picture of my workspace, and a tidbit on “Do we really need the stuff that we have now?”.
