Spring cleaning anyone? It happens once again, and for most of you, you may call it a designer’s nightmare, while others may think it’s a nice refresh. As for me, I enjoy redesigning, recoding, and restructuring my personal sites and communities. Although this is probably the 5th time I’ve done this, it never gets old as I always find that I’m still learning in terms of trying to create an atmosphere that I hope you guys can appreciate and find it easy to use, while hopefully giving you an easier time to navigate and get lost on the site (in a good way).

How the thought of redesigning (again) came to be?

To be simply honest, one of the things I’ve always strived for was minimal design, and I finally achieved a layout that I personally liked and used it for my own portfolio and blog. A few weeks later, I liked the layout so much that I decided to just clone it for Creative-Le Studios and add/subtract from it. As a result, design and development time decreased, and fixes become easier for me. In addition, I’m slowly consolidating or rather trying to make it known that Creative-Le Studios is more of an extension of my brand and identity as Creative-Le. (There are a few disputes running in my head of figuring out a new name for the publisher of my future online endeavors, but at the moment that’s in the backburner)

What’s new, what’s changed, what happened?

Structure wise, I tried to keep it the same from the old one with things like social media buttons being easily visible and categories being listed for your convenience. I’ve added a sliding header as well. Normally, I don’t like too much motion in a site, but I’ve learned to love their ability to show information that I want to show as well as catching your attention for a few seconds to check something out.

As you can see, I’ve turned the studio site to also incorporate a site rather than be just a blog. There’s an about page, services page, and so forth. I wanted to house the Creative-Le Studios Network onto the site so that the audience can see it as well as helping the members of the network get exposure. (And hopefully giving us more projects to do *hint hint*)

The site got smaller in width by about 50-60 pixels, but I’ve been able to still accommodate both the content and sidebar without cramping things too close together.

Other than small details like rearranging widgets, and adding more content, the blog in itself is the same and will continue its tradition of posting tutorials, resources, freebies, and inspiration to everyone that visits this site. (With the occasional post drought, but hopefully that will be fixed in the future)

What’s next for Creative-Le Studios?

Our next goal is to keep doing what we do here, and be inspired while helping inspiring others in the online art and design communities. We hope everyone enjoys the new design, and new material that we will be pushing, and to share this site among your network. Feel free to contact us for any suggestions, feedback, bug reports, or if you want to contribute a guest article. We’re open to many things, so don’t be afraid to give us a message.

Hey once again. I’m back but, again I’m stuck in that phase where you think you’ve done stuff, but at the same time it just seems work isn’t stopping. At the moment, I’m coming at a crossroad of what to do next in my life. I still have my faith in what I eventually want and cherish at the same time, it’s hard to get there. And so, I’m taking a good initiative to keep blogging about my life and what I do and what I have to do. It helps me keep my focus straight and makes sure to cut out things that I certainly don’t need or not beneficial.

One good news….

I’m beginning my first company, LLC, studio, or whatever you want to call it. So far I have 4 people along with myself, and I can say we cover a good variety of multimedia talents. The company isn’t official, but in due time, I will gear things towards that. I’ve always wanted to work with people, and people that share in the same interest of web design, art, graphics, and coding.

I may be recruiting for more, but for now, I find it comfortable (well, not really, we just have no planned direction to go yet). The main thing is..I appreciate people that want to do things for the sake of doing it. Obviously hiring people to do work with no pay is probably the hardest thing to do for a company, but with friends and like minds, a group can be formed to do what you love to do with no cost.

And so…I have a lot of work to be doing. I’ve done a lot…I got business cards done, websites done, and figuring out some schedule for my blog. I think I’ll do that now, so this post doesn’t seem too useless.

So here’s my schedule for the blog and also myself in some sort. You don’t have to memorize this schedule, just subscribe, follow me on twitter, or follow me on facebook, and you’ll get the updates as soon as I post them.

Blogging Schedule

Monday Headlines – Recap of my week/Updates/News…basically just me talking about what’s happening personally or any new news about the site/studio. (Will most likely be journal entries)

Tuesday Tips + Tricks – Tips, tricks, and any short tutorials that I’ll randomly decide to talk about whether it be about CSS, HTML, a quick workaround behind a problem, how to set up certain things, etc…

Wednesday Listings – Might be a list of links, list of resources, list of something that will be useful, inspiring, or interesting.

Thursday Tutorials – Thursday Tutorials will feature tutorials made by my studio or myself. These will be full fledged tutorials with pictures or perhaps a video.

Friday Free Day – Anything goes. News, resource, tutorials, tips. It’s free for all, so anything may come.

Saturday/Sunday – Nothing is planned, but if I do have a post, it might be more journal related since I’m trying to free my weekends for personal work and relaxing.

Conclusion

So that’s the new daily schedule. I apologize if I don’t happen to follow it strictly, but I’m hoping it’ll be quite smooth and I’ll be dedicating 1-2 hours on blogging everyday. Thanks for visiting my site and subscribe, comment, link, contribute, have fun.

You guys probably already noticed but I have redesigned my site and still in the process of coding it. I just wanted to give you guys a heads up that there might be some rocky functions going around, and some links may not work, and some things may not look great in all browsers. Through lots of frustration and stressed out periods, I’ve decided to just do the coding live and well otherwise I wouldn’t be able to finish it in short time. I’m glad I got this far, but it’ll still take me a bit to get a few finishing touches on it i.e Footer, my journal, portfolio, and the pages.

I’ll be making a redesign post to highlight some changes and why I chose to do those changes. In the meantime, thanks for your patience and keep a look out for the finished blog when everything is done. To give an insight on my direction for my blog, it’s going to be more personal, and down to earth. I’m not caring too much about grammar, spelling, etc… (Unless it was a tutorial) So if you like to stick around for some laid back discussions about graphics, design, web, inspiration, and whatever’s going on in the world, feel free to stay and read.

Thanks to all my subscribers and inspirational people.
